These plugins are a great advantage for serious webmasters. The owner of the blog gets comments focused on the topic, and commentators get quality links.
It is definately a win/win situation. I’ve gotten to the point where I rarely leave a post when I am surfing blogs unless Keywordluv is present. It communicates that the blog writers knows that their time is valuable, and he or she realises that my time is valuable too.
Commenting these days have taken the form of induced commenting rather than desired commenting. Blogs however good they may be require to induce people to comment on them. I have seen some blogs even running contests and giving off free gifts to commentators.
Of everything else, I feel, Keyword Luv is the best way to induce your reader to leave a comment. It gives a backlink to the commentators which is a lucrative enough incentive for a comments especially when, blogs these days are making comment links a “Nofollow”.

Getting a backlink from commenting on do-follow blogs should really be looked at as a bonus. The real benefit of blog posting is leaving value to the readers. You can get a surprising amount of ‘warm’ traffic to your site from meaningful blog posts.
